  • Business information: Business name, trade type, service area, and number of locations
  • Contact information: Your name, email address, phone number, and preferred contact method
  • Billing information: Payment details processed securely through Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers on our servers
  • Lead data: Phone numbers, SMS conversation content, service requests, and booking details generated through the MinuteLead system on behalf of your business

We also collect technical information automatically when you visit our website, including IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Set up and operate your MinuteLead communication system
  • Send and receive SMS messages on behalf of your business
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Provide customer support and onboarding assistance
  • Improve our services and develop new features
  • Communicate with you about your account, service updates, and promotional offers (with your consent)

3. SMS & Messaging Data

MinuteLead sends and receives SMS messages in two distinct contexts: (1) direct communication with prospective customers who have opted in through our website or inbound phone line, and (2) client-service messaging delivered on behalf of trades businesses using MinuteLead's managed AI agent service.

Direct Prospect Communications

When you submit the free customized AI agent report form at minutelead.ca/minutelead-free-agent-report/, or when you call MinuteLead's business line at +1 365-990-3606 and reach voicemail, you may opt in to receive text messages directly from MinuteLead. The website form requires you to actively check an unchecked-by-default SMS consent checkbox that discloses the program terms before submission. Inbound phone calls trigger an automated text-back that acknowledges your call and invites continued conversation.

Messages sent under this program include delivery of your requested AI agent report, follow-up on your inquiry, sales-related communication from our team, and responses to questions you initiate. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us. Message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for assistance.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. This applies to all phone numbers and SMS consent data collected through any opt-in method. Your mobile information is used solely for communication between you and MinuteLead, with trusted service providers (such as our SMS delivery platform) engaged only to facilitate that communication.

Client-Service Communications

MinuteLead also sends and receives SMS messages on behalf of your business as part of the core managed service. This includes missed-call text-back messages, qualification conversations, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, follow-up sequences, and review requests. All SMS message content is stored securely within our platform for the purpose of managing lead conversations and providing service continuity. Message data is associated with your account and is not shared with third parties except as required to deliver the service (for example, SMS delivery through our telecommunications provider).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

  • Service providers: Third-party tools and platforms that help us deliver our service, including SMS delivery, payment processing, and hosting. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MinuteLead, our users, or the public.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers hosted in North America. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your information.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

Lead conversation data (SMS messages and booking records) will be retained for 12 months after account cancellation, after which it will be permanently deleted unless a longer retention period is required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

MinuteLead's services are designed for businesses and are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
